Is a NASCAR license required to race the non sanctioned events?

Marlin45/70Posted on 1/28/2012 12:52:09 AM

In my opinion I would think that it would be like it always has been, that you don't need a Nascar license to race at the non sanctioned events.

All the classes are NASCAR sanctioned. I plan on attending some of the non-sanctioned nights.

Starting times please?

FionaPosted on 1/30/2012 11:04:52 AM

How will it work running the big track and the go-kart track on the same night? I could see issues like being short staffed, keeping the fans separated, parking maybe, etc..... Racechick, can you share any details with us?

Days of ThunderPosted on 1/30/2012 12:31:36 PM

What about the people/families that run both stock cars and karts?? Fiona brings up good points.

getndirtyPosted on 1/30/2012 2:13:26 PM

i hear you run both you will just have to get someone else to help with the kids while you race. seems kinda crappy to me..

It was like that a few years ago not sure on the year but they had both tracks on the same night

Seems like maybe this was just thrown together and all the issues were not thought through. Will there be an ambulance for each track? Will there be two track prep crews? Good luck.

huskerdirtlmPosted on 1/30/2012 3:11:52 PM

that didnt take long.....

what we were told friday night is that the late model rules will be just like the SLMR. now also keep in mind they will also have their nascar crate lates also. from all the vibes i heard everyone was excited about the move to friday night. i did not hear anything about the little track however. also rick/SLMR tech said the late model rules were very close and that they should be out sometime this week.

race chickPosted on 1/31/2012 10:04:55 AM

We ran both on friday nights in 2006 I believe.
The management and owners are ironing out all of these issues. As soon as info comes out, it will be posted.
But, I will say this...No, this wasn't just thrown togethor. Much thought, pros and cons have been discussed. That is why the schedule took longer and some other announcements.

Days of ThunderPosted on 1/31/2012 2:26:45 PM

One thing to consider is that if you run on Saturday or Sunday with the karts you will draw more people instead of competing with Eagle for karts and then losing some of your current kart due to racing stock cars at the same time. Just a thought...

dirtragPosted on 1/31/2012 3:53:46 PM
