2006 WOMEN FOR RACING ANNUAL BOWL-A-THON Do you like to make money before and after you spend it on your race car??? Well we have an easy way for you to earn money at the beginning and the end of the race season. Maybe this is your first year, you never wanted to give it a try, or you just didnt know how much money you can make from a little bit of fun.
ADVANTAGES: ☺ The #1 reason to bowl is the easy money. ☺ Everyone has a great time. ☺ You make 10% of your pledges before you even enter the race ☺ Your race for the bowl-a-thon is May 20th for even more money
Look at what these drivers won just from last years race, plus they got 10% of their pledge total: I.M.C.A MODIFIEDS LIMITED MODIFIEDS 1ST $199.00 1ST $138.00 7TH$164.00 9TH $ 93.00 I.M.C.A STOCK CARS FACTORY STOCK 1ST $133.00 1ST $106.00 4TH $113.00 5TH$ 81.00 I.M.C.A HOBBY STOCKS CRAZY CRUISERS 1ST $81.00 1ST $82.00 6th$51.00
THEN THE NEXT QUESTION YOU MIGHT HAVE IS HOW DOES THE BOWLING PART WORK???? SIMPLE, THERE ARE ONLY SIX THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO : 1. Think of this as a big special race were you have an entry fee of $ 50.00 2. You need as least 2 other people to bowl with you. Each bowler must raise at least $25.00. 3. Make pledge sheets and give them to as many people as you can. 4. Choose a date, time, and place that works for your group: March 3rd, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at Jayhawk Bowl in Marysville, Kansas. March 4th, 2006 at 2:00, 5:00, or 8:00 p.m. at Tonka Lanes in Beatrice, Nebraska. 5. Then call by February 28th, 2006 to Tammy Snyder @ 402-223-5887 with your time. 6. Finally, show up to have a great time!!
We do ask when you turn in your money that the driver write one check to Women For Racing. The money needs to be turned in by March 18th, 2006.If you would like info or a bowl-a-thon sheet email Tammy AT [email protected] We would like to thank you for your time and participation this year. How come we are not having it at the OrangeBowl??
~~Get down and dirty~~ |
| Littleman | Posted on 2/5/2006 2:51:26 PM
Because Tonka lanes in Beatrice and The Jayhawk in Marysville is the bowling alley's WFR voted on. |

I"m guessing they're not having it at Orange Bowl because of "no alcohol"....... Tonka has alcohol..... |

No alcohol at a bowling alley? is this world coming to?

Well, they'd LIKE to have alcohol there, but unfortunately they lost their license.... I hear they're trying very hard to get it back though!!

When the ownership changed, they had to apply for a new license. Prior to getting that license, they let people bring in their own alcohol ( Oops, that's against the rules!! ) The newspaper said they got caught once, then a couple of weeks later they got caught again. Apparently, the Liquor Commission does not have a sense of humor when it comes to things like that

Just to let those drivers know who didn't get a letter on the bowl-a-thon --- we did send letters to the drivers who were registered last year at the Speedway. If you are a new driver or you didn't get a letter and you want to participate in the bowl-a-thon please contact Tammy Snyder at (402) 223-5887 to get your team a time slot. We have both the Marysville Jayhawk bowl - Friday nite and Beatrice Tonka Lanes - Saturday to chose from.
We hope to see you all there!!
