| | Career Summary | I liked to work and hot rod cars on the gravel roads. I liked to go fast so started racing back in 1971. I raced the Sportsman class back in 1971 & 1972, back in days of Arlo Dornbush, Greg Davis, Durn Lingren, Arnie Brayland, Gary Brandt (back in the good old days!). I also ran Sprint Cars at Jackson, Minnesota and Souix Falls (Husetts). I ran my good friend, Pete Stanley's car, a Midget, at Belleville, Kansas around 1981 and ended up first alternate to the A Feature (if somebody didn't start we got to) but everybody started. But I felt good to get to where we got. Sleepy Tripp, Stan Fox, J.J. Yeley, Jon Backlund, and Gene Genetin were all there. A lot of good drivers! Then I bought a Modified after being out of racing for quite a few years.
