 Career Summary
I have been helping several friends and drivers work on their cars through the years. In the early years I just helped with simple things to get trust built up. I started helping Kenny Kovar in the early 90's with his Modified. Eventually I would build engines and other major parts, as well as assist with chassis setup. We won Albion's Points in 1995, narrowly beating out Jamie Sylvester at the season finale. Kenny also won Doniphan's Points in 1997. After that I went to helping Jim Rawhouser with his Sprint Car, mostly doing the engine and drivetrain work as well as learning chassis setup from Darin Skipton. I took a few years off from being involved in racing in the early 2000's. In 2005 Jim Rawhouser and I, along with his boys Jimmy and Wyatt, put together a Hobby Stock. We took turns driving it and had some success, despite some large setbacks. We quit after the 2006 season. During the summer of 2011 I decided to get back into racing full time and bought an older Larkins Modified and converted it to a SportMod. I went out and played with it in the 2011 Abe Lincoln Memorial. Didn't do anything more than make some laps. I totally rebuilt and modified the car for the 2012 season, but was sidelined with heart trouble after the first race of the year. Scott Olsufka jumped in the driver's seat and took over for me. We had fun and a few good finishes for the cheap, used up stuff we ran. For 2013 my goal was to at least win a heat race and I did just that. I learned a lot from listening to guys like James Kleinheksel and Kyle Prauner. For 2014 I have a newer Jet Mod and a ton of excitement about this next year!

 Racing Goals
Have fun, make great friends, maybe win one or two!

 Other Interesting Team Information
My car number comes from my son Brandon's football jersey number. From the time I helped coach him in midget football in the 4th grade until he was in high school football, his number was 53.

I love fixing a wide variety of things. From computers and cell phones to engines, transmissions and almost any vehicle, I can usually figure it out.

Almost all of my greatest friends have come from the racing community. I could never ask for any better people than the drivers, crewmen, promoters and fans that come because of racing. Nowhere else will you find a better group of people willing to help at a moment's notice than you will find at a racetrack. Thank you all!
