Awards & Accomplishments | The biggest accomplishment was probably winning a heat race at Super Nationals. Our team thought we were locked in the show, then we lost a motor. I won 3 heat races the first season we raced, which was only a half season. I made the show at the Cornhusker Classic and the State Fair Championships. Into our first full season we won Rookie of the Year at Mid-Nebraska Speedway and 6 heat races but failed to win an A Feature. | Career Summary | I started off working on the Ryan Roberts Mini-Sprint in 2000. Did that on and off for the first two years. Then in 2003 I worked for him full time. We won the Track Championship in Waverly and set fast time at Nationals, but a part malfunction kept us from winning the title. The following year Dan Humston called me to come work for him. While working for him Chad won his first A Feature. While working for Humston I learned a lot about Sprint Cars and racing. From there I also worked for Terry Klatt, under Dean Ward, where I got to work with guys Like Don Droud, Jr., Mike Hess, Davey Ray, and Jimmy Light. I got to travel all over the country working for these guys, just chasing horsepower and speed. Finally I figured it was my time to drive rather then spin wrenches, so I called Johnny Saathoff. He just happened to have a race ready car so I bought it and that was that! | Racing Goals | On the top of my list is just to win an A Feature. Other than that, I would like to run up front and have other racers respect me. |
