BCR News Release
Hello, Northeastern Nebraska race fans! We are pleased to announce that Boone County Raceway in Albion, NE will be open for the 2013 racing season! The season schedule is still being pieced together, but as of right now, we want to announce that there will be racing action starting May 3 and that the season will last until the end of August, with racing being every Friday night.
Drivers, crew members and fans will be able to enjoy a "New and Exciting," racing atmosphere at Boone County Raceway! We have many new sponsors teaming up with BCR, a new commentary staff member that is very popular in the racing community, and the track's surface will also have a new look and feel for the drivers. We want to provide a fun-filled night of racing and entertainment each Friday night of the 2013 season.
We also want to make a few announcements for the drivers planning on racing at BCR in 2013.
Here they are:
-RACECEIVERS will be MANDATORY! We want to ensure safety on the track with these devices, while also giving the fans more action by speeding up the re-ordering of cars under caution. Our number one goal making RACECEIVERS MANDATORY is to provide safety and communication to our drivers, to alert them of any hazards on the track.
-Stock Cars(Street Stocks) will be IMCA sanctioned, so please refer to the IMCA web-site to see the rules you must follow. We will also be running Sport Compacts, Modifieds, Northern Sport Mods and Hobby Stocks all being IMCA sanctioned.
-Late Models will be the only non-sanctioned class at BCR in 2013. ( there is a few changes in the
Rules.)
We also want to say that with these changes that are happening at BCR, they have been made in the interest to benefit the drivers, crew members and fans that will attend the racing events in Albion, NE this summer.We�re very excited about the upcoming season and hope that everyone will enjoy the new atmosphere that can be experienced at BCR in 2013.
We will be setting up a booth at the Racer's Swap Meet in Columbus, NE at AG Park, January 19. Registration forms and rules sheets for the Late Models will be available.
More announcements will be posted as this month goes on. Please wait patiently while we still have meetings and paperwork to discuss with certain personnel.
