97 Ford Contour daily driver - easy on gas
1997 Ford Contour in pretty good shape, (has the thrifty 2.0 liter 4 cylinder ztec dohc engine) last tankful I averaged at 29 mpg (mostly highway miles) drops to around 25 mpg when it's about half city and half highway. Has a few scratches on the hood and minor dings (no dents). Red with a light gray interior. 159,000+ miles on car, starts and runs down the road great! Rear seat folds down for large items in the trunk, car seats 5, two airbags in the front seat. Cruise control works great. 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission works fine. I have too many cars and time to start thinning the herd, asking $2200 if you think that's too high then shoot me an offer, I just might consider it. I will need to be paid with cash, car is sold as is. I have a clear title. Call me at 402-613-077zero
The temperature gauge doesn't work, don't know what's wrong with it. Engine doesn't lose any coolant and doesn't overheat.
At idle with the ac on during a hot day the engine chugs a little, I just turn off the ac when driving around town and use it when on the highway, it doesn't bother once you start moving. All the power windows and power locks work fine.AC is cold!
New parts installed are:
1. New timing belt
2. New water pump and coolant
3. New rear brake shoes (front pads are ok)
4. Full tune up, including spark plugs and new plug wires
5. New Dual brand am fm cd stereo - sounds really good
6. New wiper blades
7. New serpentine belt
8. Two new tires on the front and was aligned recently goes straight down the road.
Charged ac up and it's nice and cold inside on a hot day!
