WANTED - Old Swing Arm or Curved Piece of Tubing
Does anyone have an old swing arm laying around collecting dust that they'd sell for cheap? I need one about 12" long. If longer, I can cut it down. Doesn't matter if the brackets are damaged. I will be cutting them off. Mainly just need the curved piece of tubing with the ability to thread heims into each end. I can even tap the threads, so if anybody even has a tubing bender with very small dies and a piece of tubing with the inner diameter the correct size for a 5/8 heim thread (drill size for tapping 5/8 thread is 37/64, so anything slightly smaller than that - I can drill it), maybe you can make me one??
What I'm trying to accomplish is a curved 4-bar for my left lower 4-bar, made from steel for strength. My standard aluminum straight bar always contacts my birdcage when I get too much travel and I want to avoid bending or breaking them as I have done in the past.
