Race car steering wheel and assembly
The Steering Wheel itself is about 12.5 inches in diameter from "3 to 9", oddly, the yellow centering stripe doesn't seem to be exactly in the center. I suppose it wouldn't be hard to move it over since it's a seperate piece of yellow grained leather (not alcantara leather like the rest of the wheel).
The quick disconnect is aluminum and has a second 3 hole set of mounting holes.
The two short joints have 9/16-36 splines on both ends, they are about 3 inches length.
The longer joint has one end with a 9/16-36 spline and the other in a triangular shape to match the "main" column assembly. It is 4.75 inches in length, with the triangular end accounting for 3.125 inches of that. The two black rods of course have the 9/16-36 splines on either end. One is 16 inches while the shorter of the two is 10.5 inches. The "main" column assembly has in integral spring on a telescoping shaft for tilt adjustment. The spline to the flange is about 11inches while the triangular tube to the flange is 20.5 inches. The spring compresses about 2/3 of an inch under heavy load. The Triangular tube transfers to a round tube that ride on ball bearings inside the gloss powder coated section. There rubber grommet contains a two piece plastic bushing... it's intended to be mounted through the firewall.
