I am asking $6500, that's what I think it's worth, but shoot me an offer and if we are anywhere close maybe we can strike a deal. I am often looking for restorable classic or muscle cars that might work into the equasion, (title required) Lets talk 402-613-077zero. Call or text or email, all methods work. I'm home after 4:30 pm weekdays. I started on this about two years ago, bought it from a guy in Omaha who had stored it in his garage for over 10 years. I had to do quite a bit of work to get it to the present condition that it's in. I checked the VIN and the car is an actual trans am car, (not a replica) and a 400 engine from the factory, it came with a 400 pontiac and turbo 400 transmission. Previous owner told me it came from his grandma's 76 LeMans, I don't know but it runs good and is probably stock but would be a good starter to build up if you wanted to. Has the desireable large valve 6X heads, the exhaust is quiet (stock muffler). I have lowered the price to reflect that it may need a new fuel tank and to replace the cruise control modulator (speedometer reads fast, cruise doesn't work) Both parts are around $250-300 on Ebay. The fuel tank has rust that has plugged a couple of fuel filters since I have been driving it. Maybe you already have a tank and can switch it out or just clean it, it doesn't leak fuel. Project 1978 Trans Am is done and ready to go! 400 cubic inch V-8, auto trans both in excellent working condition. Doesn't smoke! Ready to drive. Has 750 Edelbrock 4-barrell electric choke carb. Edelbrock HP intake manifold. Auxiliary transmission cooler. Has era correct Panasonic am/fm cassette deck that actually works, dash has original holes for OEM radio (hasn't been butchered) Heater works. Has formula hood on it, came with the car. No ac, compressor and lines were removed before I got car. Evaporator is intact and lines are capped off for future restore if wanted. Sunroof works (doesn't leak water) Power trunk release in glove box. Power windows work Lots of work went into this one, many new parts too numerous to mention but I'll get it a shot anyway! New parts list: New chrome valve covers and air cleaner New Windshield New outside door glass weatherstrips New door jamb trim plates Brand New 800 CCA Battery (receipt included for warranty) Brand New Triple Core Aluminum Radiator New coolant hoses throughout engine. New transmission cooler hoses. New electric cooling fan, wiring, relay and coolant sensor (turns on at 200 F) New HEI distributor, spark cables and spark plugs (full tune up) New 5x7 rear deck speakers and speaker wires. Fresh paint job, electric blue acrylic with clearcoat. New headliner New decals all the way around New light bulbs in tail lamps and probably a dozen more things I can't think of at the moment Added some more completed work to the car done Feb 2012 including: New 2 piece viton rear main seal and oil pan gasket (had a drip, all better now) Complete rear axle rebuild, new center carrier bearings, new pinion seal (pinion bearings are fine.) New outer axle seals and bearing assemblys, posi friction clutches are in excellent condition. Has a 3.25 gearing (I think that what it is) Refilled axle with 75w140 synthetic gear lube designed for posi rear ends. Asking $6500, cash only and you will get the car and a clear title. I probably won't budge much from the $6500 as NADA value is around $14,000 to $30,000, I think $7200 is a fair price. This car is done depreciating in value and since Pontiac is gone its value will continue to increase year after year. I will also include a box of "extras" that will go with it, including door glass, rear glass, extra chrome trim, and misc goodies. 2 radiators, one needs recored
