1965 Vintage Late Model Chevelle
Time piece that hasnt been raced since 1973. 1965 Chevy Chevelle race car that raced at Midwest Speedway in Lincoln in 1972 and 1973 and then parked in a garage in Lincoln since 1973. Won some heat race wins at Midwest Speedway. Really cool piece as it was purposely built for the new late model class with weight jacks, Grand National style cage, Bobby Allison aftermarket front end kit with sway bar, Franklin Quick Change rear end kit with wide five wheels, 350 engine with 3970010 casting and CE over the counter short block (maybe an LT1 style shortblock), double hump heads, 69 Camaro Z28 aluminum intake manifold and 3 speed transmission. Does run, but needs a fuel system including lines, cell and pump. Pretty neat and advanced for the era and a lot of money was spent building it back in the early 70s. Great nostalgia race car for GOTRA racing, historic vintage dirt modified racing or a great addition to a collection of cars.
