Hope not because he can't pay the a mods right now and his car count already shows. I hope he would think about this if he is thinking about it. Because only reason had what he did was all others tracks around here were done for the year.JMO

I think if he goes b mods the car count would be very good. There are plenty of local sport mods out there. I dont think to many local racers try to make a living doing this, local cars will show. Not to many new guys wanting to get into the a mods do to the cost, and guys wanting to move up will likley go b mod if they didnt have to pull to far. JMO

MOTORHEAD_29Posted on 10/25/2012 5:16:59 PM

THATS GREAT THAT ALL YOU GUYS THINK THAT THEY COST LESS BECAUSE YOUR GOING TO SPEND JUST AS MUCH OR MORE TO GO FAST TWICE THE COST FOR GOOD CARB AND WHEN BUY THE SAME CHASSIS AS A A MOD AND THE SAME TIRES WHERE IS THE COST SAVING'S IN THIS PICTURE.THATS RIGHT CRATE MOTOR O YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO OF THEM BECAUSE YOU CAN'T WORK ON THEM YOUSELF JMO

bussman12Posted on 10/25/2012 6:51:52 PM

think the b mods will drown the a mods out but as early as he gets done he could run both classes the money could be better but if your going 20 miles compared to 90 not a bad deal

Has anybody heard anything for sure yet if they are bringing in the sportmod class? I wasn't sure if there was a deadline that a track had to meet for IMCA to announce what classes that are going to run. I was just curious.

Did that really suprise you that he would drop them.

punkracerPosted on 12/13/2012 8:23:54 AM

Times are changing. It sux for the guys who are fully vested in an A-mod.But What it cost to win every week in the a-mods is crazy. Tho I'm sure in a few years the B-mods won't be far behind.

jd63kcarPosted on 12/13/2012 10:28:43 AM

i dont think the bmod cost is far from amod now! but what do i know?

support your local dirt track! some one has to.

SlewPosted on 12/28/2012 3:32:49 PM

B mods are much cheaper than a a mod. Suspension gets the cost of the a mod up. Not much more than a stock car on suspenion in the b mod class. Motors r limited also in b mod which keeps the cost down.

punkracerPosted on 12/29/2012 9:01:09 AM

B mods are Much cheaper if your happy with running mid pack with the occasional shot at a win from the front row, the difference from Running an Amod to a winning bmod is very little. It all depends on what kind of racing you like to do. Hanging on to a starting spot or driving up thru the field. The guys who win lots of races in a B-mod staying the class cuz there winning, not because its so much cheaper
