There will be no IMCA Modifieds racing with Grand National Late Models, IMCA Hobby Stocks or Awards Plus Happy Hornets on Saturday, September 8. They will be off at MID-NEBR Speedway due to Boone Super Nationals. We will run IMCA SportMods in place of IMCA Modifieds on September 8th along with Grand
National Late Models, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Awards Plus Happy Hornets.

There is a $25 registration fee for the rest of the year. Good car count will determine whether SportMods will run on September 15 and 22.

$200 to win based on 15 or more cars.

IMCA sanctioned points will apply on September 15 and 22.

No I.M.C.A. sanctioned classes shouldn't be racing period considering A mods, B mods, Stock cars and Hobbies all race at nationals. JMO tho

cuda boyPosted on 8/27/2012 10:08:42 PM

why a registration fee so late in the season?pitpass and race

SlewPosted on 8/28/2012 8:50:18 AM

The only bad thing about the 8th is there is a ascs show at mccool that night that also includes bmods.I think i would base my decision on the following nights after the 8th. Good move on giving bmods a try though. Its a fun class to watch and compete in.

travisbkernick@gmail.comPosted on 8/28/2012 11:50:04 PM

Is the 8th sactioned .....do u need a licence and what if your not going to run the rest of the season do you still have to pay the $25?

kiner14Posted on 8/30/2012 8:39:46 PM

Come on guys you asked for sport mods. Now Doug gives them to you and there is nothing but complaints. Let's just do the best we can to promote them for the rest of the season and hope they are back next year.

Evan AlmightyPosted on 8/30/2012 9:08:20 PM

im all for it... but a registration fee?? $25.00 to register, $25.00 for a pit pass, an $35.00 to start the A, 200.00 to win, an thats IF they get 15 cars. With Boone goin on, McCool Racing, and a $10,000.00 to win show in WI. thats kinda askin for a lot. I hope cars do show up....would love to see another class of cars. JMO Best of Luck!

cuda boyPosted on 8/30/2012 9:26:50 PM

that's less than what most hobbies race for.If you want cars dont charge them maybe they will come race there and come back next year.
PS Its not all about money Dougy

KickerPosted on 8/30/2012 9:43:22 PM

It's going to be hard to draw many cars with that ridiculous payout. Sounds like an easy way for the track to make some money. $25 registration + $25 pit pass + $50 pit passes for 2 pit guys = $100 most of these guys will have to spend. If it wasn't for the added $50 from the sponsor, you would have to get 2nd just to cover what you'll have to give to the track.

cuda boyPosted on 8/31/2012 9:23:49 PM

i wonder if he will raise the grandstand gate next year if he has another class or will he just get rid of A mods

Evil-Hick 83zPosted on 9/1/2012 1:46:53 PM

Kicker...your acting like drivers are gonna make money off of this!!! Just like any other decision any other track makes, you will always have complainers!!! Bring the cars and let's go racing!!!

Push Trucks are the backbone to every stalled racecar!!!

april5150Posted on 9/1/2012 4:23:17 PM

I don't understand how people can tell Doug its not all about the money when the payout money and registration money is what your complaining about. Its about the money for you but the track shouldn't worry about it. That doesn't seem fair.

cuda boyPosted on 9/1/2012 9:26:39 PM

well looks like $250 to win is the going rate so you would think he could do the same if he wants cars

Taylor27Posted on 9/3/2012 10:14:18 PM

Hope to see a fare amount of b-mods this weekend.

only stange would "try" a new class for a couple weeks and charge a registration fee. again this place never will change. same ole thing every year.
