What is the thinking the mods run first heats and last main?....

Been that way for as long as I can remember.

I dont know for sure but, I thought I was told at one time it was to "condition" the track or "blow off" the crap with the wider tires before the hobbies and four cylinders tear into it with the skinny tires.

That gives the mods 2 narrow tracks
