FARLEY, Iowa (May 17) Brian Harris and Ray Guss Jr. both take streaks into the Tuesday, May 21 Deery Brothers Summer Series event at Farley Speedway.

Harris, from Davenport, continues to lead the IMCA Late Model tour point standings, now on the strength of third-place finishes in each of the first three series events.

Guss, meanwhile, has bounced back strong from a tough opening night DNQ. The two-time series champion from Milan, Ill., has won the last two Deery events, at Quad City Speedway and at Dubuque Speedway.

Rescheduled from April 20 because of inclement weather, the Deery event at Farley pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds are also on the midweek card.

Grandstand admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors, $10 for students and free for kids 12 and under when accompanying a paid adult. Pit passes are $30.

Guss now has 29 career series victories to his credit and also won back-to-back Deery features in 2012, 2010, 2009 and 1996.

The consecutive wins record is four, set by Gary Webb of Blue Grass in 1994 and equaled by Rob Toland of Colona, Ill., in 2004.

Round five of the series is at Boone Speedway on Memorial Day Monday, May 27. The tour returns to Farley during the Yankee Dirt Track Classic Sept. 13 and 14.
