We are going by the ASCS rules to the letter? Sorry Adam, that just sucks!!

It sure doesn't look like the car count is down in light of recent events. 17 cars is pretty good.

Anyone have Adams #? Or does someone know what happened?

Adam got DQ's for nose wing, was too far back

hoosier daddyPosted on 7/15/2012 5:24:24 PM

I would believe too far forward.

I totally had it until the third Flip

WillisPosted on 7/15/2012 8:28:56 PM

Rules are rules. Having said that, with so few (if any) inspections of tires, fuel or motors, this seems an odd DQ...especially when the others seem far much more advantageous. Does eagle enforce more Sprint/ASCS rules than nose wing position? If not, could this be part of the "car count problem"? Either way, will IMCA/eagle enforce more rules than nose wing position next year?

Good point.

sprint13fPosted on 7/15/2012 10:18:20 PM

I agree. Rules are rules but they never really checked. That's what I hope Imca changes.
I raced my sprint at eagle for three years. Then we went to knoxville. In pre tech we had to change front wing. It had been in same position forever.

HotShoePosted on 7/15/2012 10:57:25 PM

I have been accused of starting rumors so i spent some time trying to get ahold of Adam himself to get what happened.

I did get ahold of Adam and he was dq'd for his wing being a 1/4 of an inch to far forward. He said they checked nothing else on the car. The wing was on the car at an angle also it wasn't straight. He said it was when they went out for the A. He was involved in an incident with a lap car and he said they hit so hard it collapsed the right nerf bar flat into the chassis. His question to the tech crew and to roger was how do they not know it moved in the wreck and how do you enforce a rule on a movable part that could change by many different variables throughout the course of a race. Rogers response was I..... I.... I.... I dunno. I'm sorry. Insult to injury the winner drew the #4 chip for the podium $300. He was awarded no points and no money for the night.

To have your tech crew check only the front wing and then dq over 1/4 inch I think, is a joke. Anyone could have had a 410 under the hood with illegal fuel and a soft rr tire and they would have never known!

Sounds like a continuation of dumping on the guys who have supported him all year. And people wonder why the car count is low and he has teams locally sitting at home and not supporting his track. Don't blame them a bit. With bs like that, how could you!

Keep up all of your hard work. You've really turned that car around. I'm glad he is back in a sprint car. He requested that if I did infact post something on here to keep it positive. Also wanted me to thank all of his fans and supporters and to everyone who has helped. He appreciates everything and is thankful for the opportunity He has be given.

GotTC23Posted on 7/16/2012 2:30:58 AM

As a bystander who doesn't attend the races weekly, I did in fact watch the tech guys Mike and Dean, both seem to have a routine one does most of the teching and the other fills out a check list, I did see them checking wheel widths, nose wings, hoods coming off etc... They did check wings before removing the hoods on the cars, if a guy can't simply follow/ pass a rule what's the purpose of checking under the hood....HOTSHOE, 410s at eagle get real any smart person knows those have down nozzles and would stickout like a sore thumb! But as far as a moveable part, the nose wing is to be stationery not moved

This thread just makes more people hope and pray (besides Roger) that many of the old 360's leave and NEW 305's show up.

GotTC23, I can tell from your post, you are a very casual observer! 410's can and do run with up nozzles only and ASCS heads will fit any cubic inch motor.

Sprints are the greatest, if I remember right!

overloaded74Posted on 7/16/2012 11:56:58 AM

First off Dean would not do anything that petty to anyone. The nose wing was not in the correct position so adam was disqualified. Dean has more integrity than do something of that nature. GotTc23 what is your real name?

Adam was in an altercation during the race and nose wings will bang out of place. Where's the common sense in this call Dean?

Pardon me for the post hijack, and for pointing it toward 66jj ... but golly gee, you sure hate Sprint Cars, don't you. I have noticed you go out of your way to insult our Sprint Car crowd. I understand mocking a four-cylinder, FWD, family car painted up like a Race Car to fool people ... but Sprint Cars? How can you hate on a beautiful gift from God like that?

Okay, sorry about that ... back on track, on now.

This is a shame. Rules are rules. But it seems very trivial and it doesn't help our situation. But good for Adam and team for being positive. Thank you for racing for us. I appreciate all of the sacrifice and money that our Sprint Car teams spend.

Nebraska Sprint Car Racing is my most cherished interest.

Ryan, you sure read a lot into a one line post...

But clearly you CANT read the actual post for what it says.

What I got out of it is ... you want to see Danley, Holliman, Boston, etc. to leave and new teams who are not the current ones take their place. That's what I got out of it.

Thats not what you said in your post above now is it? You said I hate sprint cars?

Are the ones you named the ones on here whining EVERY week for the last how many years?

Oh, I see where you goin' with that. No, that was an assumption I made including that post above and the last 30 you've posted about this subject.

Those three names were the first that popped into my head. I wasn't trying to alude that they were the three you dislike.

What any Sprint team, or driver says is completely valid. There is no whining in Sprint Car Racing. Only winning.

I am very passionate about Nebraska Sprint Car Racing. It is just hard for me to sit idle and read post that just trash something that is very special to me. That's my only footing in this argument.

I love Jason Danley and Terry Holliman and Mike Boston and the things they do with those Race Cars. That's all. I can't take anyone putting Nebraska Sprint Car Racing down. That's all I gotta say.

Are you now speaking for Roger, 66jj and all the people that are hoping and praying that the 360s leave?, or are you speaking for yourself ? It's good that a 4cyl. rollcage fabucator from Iowa is so worried about Roger. I have heard that it will leave a stain.

sprint13fPosted on 7/16/2012 3:07:06 PM

He is actually a former 4cyl rollcage fabricator, a current hobbystock and stock car fabricator. Just to set the story straight.
