Let me be the first to congratulate you for your purchase! I wish you all the best. Please avoid falling into the same trap that plagued the tracks previous owners.. rule with an iron fist. Don't let people other than officials (and get some good ones, not from this area if possible) determine the lineups for restarts and such. Keep the crowd interested and get the show over at a decent time. I really hope you have great success owning the place. It has always been a fun place to race and spectate. From a fan and driver, good luck! |

CONFIRMED Talked to member of Kobus family. Brent Pick is new owner and wants to reopen ASAP on Sundays, starting around 5:30. And Slo53, I definetly agree!

Wow if you live in the Columbus area, you could now go Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for National points and not pull over 50 miles one way!!

Do you think IMCA will sanction them? I bet it will be next year. Otherwise good luck to them. Like I tell everyone that hasn't been there. It's the best racing facility I have been to that's out in the middle of nowhere. |

Does anyone know how to get ahold of him?

If they do choose to go IMCA i would bet there will be a waiting period i doubt they would let them sanction for a couple nights if even for 2013. But it would be great if they did.

Run it like Richards did unsanctioned and give extra money to racers. We could groove used up tires it was fun back then

Question for some of those above. name the closest unsanctioned successful track? |
| No merit | Posted on 6/7/2012 6:36:07 AM
Well i hope it gets sanctioned. Imca keeps it fair. I hope they are racing sundays. I will be there every sunday. And congrats on the great buy. U have made a lot of people happy and i will be sure to bring a few fellow drivers and cars with me on sundays.
WELCOME TO REAL RACING!!! DONT QUESTION THE MOVE YOU MAKE. |

Another thing IMCA does is gets you a point fund check at the end of the year which is what we also use to get from the tracks until apparrantly the insurance costs have taken that over along with the cost of pit admission!

When will we hear from the new owner? Everyone has a ton of plans for the future but for all we know it could be farm land. Let's hope not, but a little info on what the future holds would be great. |

GP: Last I talked to Brent he was thinking of mabey to try a couple of shows this year, thats all I know so far. Its hard to get going so late in the season I'm sure. Lets face it most of the prep work for a race season is done in the winter as in sponsors, insurance, sanctioning, personel to run the place, schedules and such, thats alot of interview and phone time. Its tougher to promote races than one would realize sir.

If he plans on running sprint cars, he might as well list it for sale now. Go read the eagle board if you don't agree. |
| gregg63 | Posted on 6/15/2012 8:04:17 AM
If he wants sprints to race, then we will race if its one night or 50 nights thats up to him not up to you fivestar.
